Upper Wilting Farm is situated on the Crowhurst Road just off Queensway on the outskirts of the town of St Leonards on Sea, close to the village of Crowhurst .
Take the A21 and follow the signs for Hastings . You will pass the Blackbrooks Garden Centre on your right and the turning for Sedlescombe on your left. Continue on the main road and on up the hill, past Claremont School on your left. At the top of the hill, the road takes you under a road bridge after which you should take the right hand turning onto Junction Road (just before car showrooms with cars parked on a grassy slope). This is a very short road ending in a ‘T' junction. Turn left onto The Ridge West. At the mini-roundabout, turn left onto Queensway. After approximately one mile, take the right hand turning signposted “Crowhurst”. Follow the road over the railway bridge, round the corner, and Upper Wilting Farm is on the left hand side. Look out for the big pink pig sign on the grass triangle.
From Battle take the A2100 towards Hastings . As you leave the Battle area, take a right hand turning into Telham Lane . After a couple of miles you will come to the village of Crowhurst . Pass through the village and continue for approximately another 2 miles. You will go up Sandrock Hill, around a sharp corner and over a railway bridge, down a hill and then up again. You will find Upper Wilting Farm on the right hand side.
Catch the No. 20 with MAYFIELD FARM written on the front of the bus. It is half hourly from Ore Village , Hastings , St Leonards, Hollington. Ask for the Rob Sack Wood community Centre, the stop before Mayfield farm. Walk about 20 yards up the hill where you will see the Community Centre. Follow the black tarmac path behind and parrallel to the Centre, continue walking and it changes to a footpath. At the end of the footpath you come to the motorway, Queensway. Cross this Road very carefully. Directly to your left you will see the Crowhurst Road . A country road with no pavement, continue over the bridge, past Upper Wilting cottages on your right, immediately opposite on your left is the path to the farm, about 5 minutes walk from the bus stop. Times of buses from Christ Church St Leonards - 37 and 07 minutes past the hour until 2pm .
